Performance metrics tend to be quite different, depending on the type of business you’re running. 1. Efficiency

Perhaps one of the most important performance metrics a company should be aware of is the efficiency rating. Do all your employees accomplish their tasks on time? In order for them to be efficient, they have to learn to prioritize and focus on the most important tasks and how to accomplish them with the resources available. If you want to measure employee efficiency, check to see if deadlines are respected, if your employees know how to manage their time, and if they are wasting time during work hours or not.

2. Attendance

It is quite obvious that your company won’t perform at its best if your employees don’t show up to work when they have to, or constantly take days off. That way, they are never working at their full potential, and this affects the company as a whole. No matter the reason why someone misses work, the rest of your employees might feel pressured to take on other tasks as well. Especially if you don’t have that many employees, this extra work load might put their health at risk. So always keep an eye on attendance and talk to the people who are usually missing work to try and solve the issue if possible.

3. Quality

It isn’t enough for someone to finish the work load on time. The quality of the work is important as well, because it is what drives clients to your business. This is not an easy metric to figure out, since you have to take into account many different aspects. For instance, let’s say someone’s job is to post articles on the company’s blog. In this case, in order to establish the quality of the articles, you will have to look at how many people have viewed them, how many decided to share them, and how many actually became customers of your business after reading through the articles.

4. Customer Satisfaction

Strongly related to the last point, customer satisfaction is what determines whether your business will be successful or not. Customer satisfaction should be measured overall, not only when it comes to particular services or functions. Take into account every single aspect of your business and how it can attract or put off potential customers. Moreover, analyze if current customers are happy with the products or services you provide them with. Not only will you figure out if your business is doing a good job satisfying customers, but you will also be able to find out the aspects that need improvement.
