morning routine of successful people

Who’s your best friend in the morning? Let us take a wild guess – the snooze button, which you hit as many times as you can, a big, round-bellied cup of coffee, and an on-the-go bagel or muffin. All that’s about to change when you read these examples of the morning routine of successful people. Talk about inspirational!

1. Mark Zuckerberg

Everyone has their own quirks, and the inventor and owner of the place where you spend the best part of your life is no stranger to that. He gets up every day at 8 AM if he hasn’t spent the previous night working. Then he puts on the same gray T-shirt every single day. The reason? He doesn’t want to waste time on clothes. Hmmmm…

2. Richard Branson

This mogul definitely knows how to live his life. He wakes up every morning at a quarter to six when the natural sunlight hits his eyes. If it’s windy outside, he goes for a quick session of kitesurfing. When it’s warm, he swims around his island. If not, it’s just tennis for him and then a very healthy breakfast.

3. Jack Dorsey

The co-founder of Twitter wakes up at 5:30 every single day specifically so that he can meditate. This process is followed by a six-mile jog. Not bad, right? It’s one of our favorite examples of the morning routine of successful people.

4. Lord Alan Sugar

You know him as the business mogul and host of The Apprentice. What you might not know is that he keeps in shape by waking up every morning at the impossible hour of 5 AM and then he bikes. Yes, you read that correctly. He takes a 50-mile long bike ride through the beautiful countryside with rolling hills of England’s Essex.

5. Tim Armstrong

Mr. Armstrong is the current CEO and Chairman of AOL. He too gets up every day at 5 AM because he likes to workout and read before starting off his day. He also tests products and sends emails. Only then can his workday actually start. By that time, most of us haven’t even hopped up in the shower…

6. Simon Cowell

The Creator of the X Factor and its most notorious judge to date is just as quirky as you’d have expected him to be about his morning habits. However, you will also be delighted to find out that he is more like you and me than anyone on this list. When he wakes up, he loves to hit the snooze button twice before actually getting out of bed. He then has his large breakfast, which consists of hot water with lemon, oatmeal, papaya juice with lime, tea, and no less than three smoothies.

7. Indra Nooyi

We’ve saved the best for last. As it turns out, if you want to be successful, you really do need to get up as early as possible. Mrs. Indra Nooyi, the CEO of PepsiCo., wakes up every day at 4 AM and makes it her goal to be in the office at 7 AM. She has also been quoted as saying the following.

‘They say sleep is a gift that God gives you… That’s one gift I was never given.’

So, we’ve seen the morning routine of successful people. What conclusion can we draw from this experience? That you need to wake up as early as possible, work out, eat a healthy and substantial breakfast, definitely read a bit, meditate, and wear the same shirt every day? Maybe skip the last one!
